Birds and Bees’ positive sex education facilitates a safe space for honest, medically-accurate, and peer-to-peer enhanced learning.
Programs are based out of Durango, Colorado with availability in and around Southwest Colorado and Northwest New Mexico. Programs are also available online upon request.
Birds and Bees’ Webinars (30 minutes)
Birds and Bees offers online classes on a variety of positive sex education topics. These webinars are meant to be brief and accessible learning opportunities for everyone. Each webinar is recorded and available after the scheduled day and time — you can watch it on your own time!

Birds and Bees for Parents (1.5 hours)
An educational class for any person who is parenting a child or children (ages infant and up). These classes are a space for parents or guardians to learn how to talk to youth about everything related to sex – including anatomy, consent, communication, protection from STIs and pregnancy, decision making, etc. We will be learning how to start and maintain an ongoing positive sex ed conversation with youth.

Birds and Bees for Adults (2 hours)
A series of classes for folks 18 years and up. These two hour classes are modeled after peer-to-peer learning; meaning our sexologist is there to create a safe space for guided discussions, to facilitate activities, and to tease out the lived experiences and knowledge of the participants.
- $45 for one adult
- $80 for two adults
Online Group Class (1 hour)
Online group classes are available for parents or adults. They are abbreviated versions of the in person classes listed above and adaptable to the specific needs of the group.

Birds and Bees for Youth (1 to 2 hours)
Education and facilitation for youth using the Our Whole Lives (OWL) curricula. “OWL is based on specific values related to human sexuality. It nurtures the worth and dignity of every participant. It fosters loving, equitable, and healthy relationships and counters injustices such as homophobia, stereotyping, and sexism. It encourages youth to value themselves and to act on their values throughout their lives.”

Birds and Bees for Adults: Private Group Class (Minimum 2 hours)
Your party, your topic! Host a party for your closest friends and Birds and Bees will facilitate on a sex topic of your choosing.

The facilitator will work with you on the topic and length of the class. Any extra time will be utilized for a group Q&A session or mini-individual sessions for participants.
- $120 for 8 to 11 people
- Additional $12 per participant for groups of 12 to 25 people
- Additional $10 per participant for groups of 26 to 50 people
Groups are required to have a minimum of 8 participants. Please contact us about events over 2 hours.
